| A kitchen style rakija (Croatian for grappa) sourced direct from its infusion lab in the home of Mrs Danica Kuzmanovic, Pula, Croatia. The clear grape spirit is made by friends who own local vineyards. The late Mr Nika Kuzmanovic, a physicist of Serbian origin, had difficulty finding work in Pula during the war in the 90's and started bartering his programming skills for sustenance products such as bread, meat and grappa. After Nika's death in 2007, Danica took over the production of infusions. Infused grappa is a way to preserve the herbs and fruit from the rich Istrian landscape. Seasonal flavours incude Jujube, Blackhorn, Walnut, Fig, Carob, Travarica, Sage and Honey, Fennel, Lemongrass, Limoncello, Misteltoe, Quince and Cornelian Cherry Dogwood flavoured. |
