onward transit of FER-2203 from Feral Trade arrived Connecticut College 2016-01-14
kate rich Hauled rolling luggage, including 30KG bag left by close colleague Natalie Jeremijenko on a recent Bristol stopover, down stairs from trader's 3 1/2 floor flat, and travelled by Dads Cabs taxi to the station. At Paddington station a passing man kindly offered assistance in dragging trader's superweight bags to the Heathrow Express train, glided to the airport. Checked in with British Airways avoiding heavy baggage charge via check-in agent sympathy for traveller's feet, smashed to pieces in a 5 years ago rock climbing accident. Trader then talked her way through security with 3 small as opposed to the regulation 2 large cabin bags via befriending initially hostile Security agent, who by the end of the transaction revealed graceful agency in her job. At JFK Natalie arrived in an uber for the drive into Manhattan, eye watering $130 roundtrip. After 2 nights NYC respite, xCLINIC rented a cargo van, in which coffee and numerous other xHIBITION items were driven up to New London, to be loaded into gallery the following AM.

FERALTRADE products passed by hand. The word 'feral' describes a process that is deliberately wild, as in pigeon, as opposed to nature wild (wolf). Feral Trade freight operates largely outside commercial channels, using the surplus potential of social, cultural and data networks for the distribution of goods. contact kate@feraltrade.org
